The Nottingham Panthers would like to thank Assistant Coach Kevin Moore who has left the club to take up the role of Head Coach of Coventry Blaze.

The 35-year-old joned the Panthers last summer from East Coast Hockey League side Indy Fuel.

Panthers CEO, Omar Pacha, said: “We would like to thank Kevin for his time with the club.

"Kevin - along with Rick (Strachan) - did a fantastic job in supporting Jonathan Paredes last season and also displayed great leadership and compassion. He was a key component in guiding the players through all the adversity.

“We were hoping to keep Kevin as the assistant coach for next season, but we fully understand his decision to accept an offer to become a head coach at the professional level for the first time in his career.

“We would like to wish Kevin all the best and we look forward to welcoming him back to the Motorpoint Arena where I am sure he will receive a warm and well-deserved reception."

Moore said: "I would like to thank the Panthers organisation for the opportunity this season and our players for all of their hard work and effort. I have never been a part of such a resilient group of men.

"I would also like to thank the fans for their amazing support last season. The backing they gave the team was something I will never forget and Nottingham will always have a special place in my heart."
