Panthers win group but lose last game in Denmark

The GMB Nottingham Panthers were able to pull some of the guys carrying injuries out of the line-up for their last group game in Odense

Opponents Donbass from the Ukraine were already out of the tournament and Panthers were already locked in to first place when the sides met on Sunday afternoon

In the end the game was lost, including an empty net goal by a 3-1 score line with Brad Moran hitting the net for Panthers.

Peter Kalus had a penalty shot saved and Robert Farmer had a shot jam on to the underside of the bar and fall on to the goal line but not over it.

It was a close game with few whistles and by far the least entertaining of the tournament which concludes with the hosts versus Angers playing for the right to join Nottingham in the grand final alongside the top two teams from the other group.
