British forward Matthew Myers has told the club he is signing for Bakersfield, a club in North America and has handed in his notice. He is thanking us for all the support in recent seasons and is wishing us well this season also.

Matthew would have been our longest serving senior player this year but we would never stand in the way of a player trying to prove themselves.

The GMB Nottingham Panthers are delighted to have helped Matt Myers progress in recent years, we wish him well and the door will always be open for a return.

Meanwhile, his decision opens another door for someone else to play for the GMB Nottingham Panthers and coach Corey Neilson is checking out several options as he nears completion of his roster for the exciting next Elite League campaign.
