The Nottingham Panthers are delighted to confirm the signing of forward Stephen Anderson for the 2022/23 Premier Sports Elite League season.

Stephen joins the Panthers from the Danish side Aalborg Pirates, with whom he recorded 23 points (15 goals and 8 assists) in 38 games last season, whilst also managing to put up a +/- of +25.

Prior to heading to Denmark, Stephen spent the 2020/21 season with Hungarian side DVTK Jegesmedvék, his first as a professional after leaving the University of New Brunswick (USports) in 2020, putting up 19 points (6 goals and 13 assists) in the process.

During his time in the highly rated Canadian USports league, Stephen iced in 167 games across all competitions, recording 159 points (60 goals and 99 assists) en route to winning five championships during his time in New Brunswick.

Head Coach Gary Graham, speaking to Panthers TV with Jeremias Chimney Systems, had the following to say about his latest recruit: "Stephen is a complete player, the guy can pretty much play up and down your line-up.

"He comes with great pedigree, having played at the University of New Brunswick with Alex Dubeau and won a number of national CIS championships there ….. and that means he's been in those winning locker rooms.

"Being around a winning culture is something I look for in players. He can score, he's got very good vision, blocks shots, can kill penalties, can play on the powerplay, so what I'm saying is he's a Swiss army knife who can do a bit of everything."

You can see Stephen make his debut for The Nottingham Panthers in the "GM the GM Memorial Trophy" game against the Sheffield Steelers on Saturday August 27th, face-off is at 7.00pm inside the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham and tickets are on sale now - get yours right here.
