Nottingham Panthers are straight back into action on Wednesday with the visit of Cardiff Devils to the Motorpoint Arena (7:30pm face-off).

The game is sponsored by WAGO and victory for the Panthers would see us move above Sheffield Steelers and up to second in the Elite League table, a point behind leaders Belfast Giants.

The title race is going to the wire and it's the most exciting battle in years with just three points currently separating the top three teams.

Panthers currently sit third in the standings on 66 points, a point behind second-placed Sheffield and three points back on leaders Belfast. Wednesday opponents Cardiff are fourth on 60 points.

It was a four-point weekend for the Panthers thanks to Saturday's 4-1 victory on the road at Manchester Storm in Altrincham.

Mitch Fossier scored twice and there was a goal each for Matt Alfaro and Tim Doherty as a short-benched Panthers secured the two points.

Last night, Panthers skated to a 9-3 win over Fife Flyers led by two goals each for Hugo Roy, Kristoff Kontos and Tim Doherty.

Matt Spencer and Quinn Wichers were also on target, while Davis Bunz scored his first goal for the Panthers.

Wednesday night is HUGE in the battle for points. Come join the #PanthersNation and experience that special Panthers roar!
