The Nottingham Panthers have signed Czech Republic forward Jakub Izacky for the remainder of the season.

The 29-year-old has spent the past six seasons in the Hungary and Romania Erste Liga, scoring 247 points at over a point-per-game.

Izacky's most productive season came in 2018-19 where he scored 60 points (26+34) for Debrecen-based side DEAC.

Head Coach, Corey Neilson, said: "Jakub skates really well and is aggressive with contact.

"He's a decent-sized body and he's also put some good points up this year.

"All those things combined will help us to create competition with the forwards, so it's good for us in a number of ways."

Izacky, who will wear #39 for the Panthers this season, is expected to make his debut next weekend at home to Cardiff Devils.

He's the club's sixth and final signing of the season after the additions of David Levin, Fabrizio Ricci, Albin Lindgren, Peyton Jones and Niko Lahtinen.
