The Nottingham Panthers have signed powerful French Canadian forward Félix Paré.

The 23-year-old has spent the past two-and-a-half seasons with Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL after turning professional in 2021.

Prior to turning pro, the Québec-born forward played five seasons of junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for the Victoriaville Tigres and Cape Breton Eagles.

Head Coach, Jonathan Paredes, said: "Felix has great grit and size. He has good energy and is very good on face-offs .

"He is still young and is certainly on an upward curve in his career, coming off the back of a career-high professional season last year.

"We feel he will add physicality to our line-up and is a player that can be a spark for the group."

Paré said: "I am excited to be joining the Panthers and can't wait to fly in as soon as possible.

"I have heard so much positivity about the amazing fanbase and the arena.

"I know Nottingham is a great club with a great tradition and I am looking forward to being part of it for the rest of the season."

Paré, who will wear #29 for the Panthers, is expected to fly into the UK in the coming days and is set to make his debut in next weekend's back-to-back road matches at Belfast Giants.
