It was one of those special Motorpoint Arena nights on Saturday as Nottingham Panthers beat Sheffield Steelers 2-1 after a dramatic penalty shootout.

A sold-out crowd of nearly 7,000 saw Panthers come from behind to level the game through Tim Doherty in the third period.

Doherty scored in the shootout, as did Kristoff Kontos and Cooper Zech, while Jason Grande saved three of Sheffield's four attempts

Panthers are back at home on Sunday for the visit of Fife Flyers to the Motorpoint Arena (4pm).

Tickets are already limited so you're urged to secure your seats as soon as possible.

Panthers beat Fife 6-0 on their last visit to Nottingham as Ryan Bednard secured a 25-shot shutout.
