Nottingham Panthers would like to thank Rok Stojanovic who has now departed the club after his short-term contract expired.

Following an injury to Hunter Vorva before his arrival in Nottingham, Stojanovic agreed to rejoin the club at short notice on a two-month deal.

Stojanovic played four games for the club this season, helping secure two huge victories on the road in the Challenge Cup.

A 3-2 overtime win at Coventry Blaze was followed a week later by a 4-3 victory after penalty-shots at Guildford Flames.

Stojanovic made 41 saves in that game and was only beaten once in the subsequent shootout.

The Slovenia netminder is currently on international duty but following the arrival of Vorva in Nottingham today, Stojanovic will not return to Nottingham.

Panthers CEO, Omar Pacha, said: "Everyone at the Panthers would like to thank Rok for his second stint at the club.

"He dropped everything to join us at short notice and has been a big part in our success in the Challenge Cup group games this season."
