The Nottingham Panthers were beaten 6-3 at home by Glasgow Clan in the Elite League on Wednesday night.

New signing Anthony Luciani impressed on his home debut, assisting on the first goal, but Clan came from behind to take the two points.

Panthers were without Ollie Betteridge, Myles McGurty, Josh Tetlow and Tyler Welsh because of injury. Mike Robinson got the start in goal with Rok Stojanovic as back-up.

Luciani and Jordan Kelsall combined to set-up Otto Nieminen who skated into the offensive zone and fired across Jake Kielly to put Panthers ahead (8:11).

Stephen Anderson turned in a circle and buried the puck to make it two (24:42), before turning provider for Mathieu Lemay on a two-on-one break (30:21).

Panthers superbly killed-off over a minute of five-on-three which included Hugo Roy putting a penalty shot wide.

But moments after the teams got back to even strength, Gary Haden neatly nipped inbetween the Panthers defence to get Clan on the board (37:31).

The visitors scored five without reply in the third period to complete a remarkable turnaround, with tips from Mike Pelech (43:10) and Philippe Sanche (44:54) bringing the game level.

Charlie Combs shot through traffic to put Glasgow ahead (54:38), Jordan Cownie put away his own rebound (57:58) and Ryan Harrison sealed the win for the visitors with an empty-net goal (59:22).
