AJ47 JERSEY RETIREMENT: THANK YOU #PANTHERSNATION

A moving Adam Johnson Shirt Retirement Ceremony took place at the Motorpoint Arena this evening.

We were honoured and humbled to be joined by members of Adam's family, as well as Jonathan Paredes and his wife this evening.

The ceremony - which was shown all around the world live on YouTube - saw Adam's #47 jersey banner raised to the roof and immortalised in Panthers history.

After a beautiful video tribute, Panthers CEO Omar Pacha made the first speech of the evening which was followed by some lovely words from Adam's Aunt, Lynn DeGiro.

There were video messages from some of Adam's former team-mates and coaches, before his 47 banner was raised in a very special moment.
