AMAZING TURNOUT AT SALTBOX FOR MEET THE PLAYERS
🎟 SATURDAY: PANTHERS v GIANTS - BUY TICKETS 🎟
Hundreds of people came to Saltbox for the Meet the Players event after last night's victory over Manchester Storm at the Motorpoint Arena.
On the ice, The Nottingham Panthers beat Manchester Storm 5-4 to confirm their place in the knockout stages of the Challenge Cup.
As part of the Kids for a Quid day, there was a real family feel to yesterday's game which started with activities on Bolero Square in the afternoon and reduced-price ice skating.
Our great sponsors Young Cardinal Tattoo were in the foyer for free fake tattoos and facepainting, while there was a special Chuck-a-Puck prize which included a meal for two at Annie's Burger Shack.
After the game, the players sat for nearly two hours to sign autographs and chat to supporters in Saltbox.
It was great to see so many happy faces - regular fans and new supporters who were at their first game.
Netminder Jack Berry also met a very special attendee who made himself known to the team during the evening.
Doug Smith, who iced for Nottingham as a netminder in the 1960s and also represented England as a speedskater, had been at the game with family members and was keen to meet a current player plying the same trade as he did.
He also brought with him a Bygones feature from the Nottingham Evening Post from his time with the Panthers, which Jack signed for him.
The Panthers would like to thank our sponsors Annie's Burger Shack and Young Cardinal Tattoo, as well as the staff at the Motorpoint Arena and Saltbox, for making yesterday's event a huge success.
Panthers return to acton on Saturday as Belfast Giants visit the Motorpoint Arena in the Viaplay Elite League.
