BETTERIDGE APPEARS FOR GB IN NARROW LOSS TO CANADA

Nottingham Panthers forward Ollie Betteridge was part of the Great Britain team in this afternoon's narrow loss to world number one Canada.

GB were beaten 4-2 in the World Championship at the O2 Arena in Prague and took the lead at one stage through Liam Kirk.

Ben O'Connor scored on the third period as GB matched their higher-ranked opponents for large parts of the game.
