The Nottingham Panthers forward Ollie Betteridge has been named in the Great Britain squad for next month's Olympic Qualifiers in Cardiff.

Betteridge, who has won 27 GB caps, takes his place on the 22-player roster for the tournament which runs from Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th February at the Vindico Arena.

GB will face Romania, China and Serbia with the group winners progressing to Final Qualifying in August 2024 – the final stage before the Winter Olympics in Italy.

Head coach, Pete Russell, said: "As ever, we had plenty of options and it was tough getting it down to a final 22.

"I really like the look of our squad and I am pleased to add Cam (Critchlow), Sean (Norris) and Brandon (Whistle), who were close to be selected for last year's World Championship.

"This is the start of another big year for us and it's great to be hosting a tournament on home ice in the UK again."
