CARUSO NAMED CAPTAIN AND LEMAY APPOINTED ALTERNATE CAPTAIN

The Nottingham Panthers are proud to announce that Mike Caruso has been named Captain for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

Mathieu Lemay has been appointed as an Alternate Captain and will join Ollie Betteridge and Carl Neill in wearing the 'A'.

Head Coach, Jonathan Paredes, said: "Mike is a true leader on and off the ice and has the respect of the whole room.

"We said at the start of the season that we would assess the situation later in the year and now is the right time to give the captaincy to Mike.

"In such a difficult year, Mike has led by example and the coaching staff have no doubts he will be a great leader.

"Mathieu has had an outstanding season so far and fully deserves to join the leadership team as an Alternate Captain.

"We now have a great quartet of leaders to take us forward in the remainder of the season and help turn the season around."

Caruso will lead Panthers for the first time in tomorrow's game with Belfast at the Motorpoint Arena (7pm) - a game sponsored by Loughborough Business School.

Over 5,000 tickets have already been sold and so a very large Saturday night crowd is expected. You are advised to purchase tickets as soon as possible.
