COACHES GO HEAD-TO-HEAD AGAINST THEIR FORMER TEAMS

It's Nottingham Panthers against Coventry Blaze on Saturday night with the added interest of both coaches facing their former teams.

Panthers Head Coach Danny Stewart spent eight seasons as coach of the Blaze having previously spent four years with the club as a player.

Danny was a popular character in Coventry where his Blaze teams competed night in, night out and entertained fans with their no-nonsense attitude making the Skydome a tough place to visit.

Meanwhile, it's a quick return to Nottingham for Kevin Moore who took over the role of Head Coach of the Blaze in the summer.

Kevin, of course, was assistant to Jonathan Paredes and impressed on his first season in the Elite League.

It's a battle of two unbeaten teams too with Pathers beating Manchester Storm (4-0) and Guildford Flames (4-3) last weekend.

The Blaze beat Glasgow Clan 4-2 at home who are coached by another former Panther, Corey Neilson.

There's always an intense rivalry when the two Midlands teams go head-to-head and it's that extra bit special this weekend with the two coaches facing their former clubs.
