The Nottingham Panthers were beaten 3-1 by Manchester Storm at the Motorpoint Arena in the Elite League on Sunday afternoon to spoil Corey Neilson's first home game since returning as Head Coach.

Alex Dubeau got his second start in as many nights between the pipes, with Luca Sheldon serving as back-up netminder.

Craig Moore and Duggie Lagrone were missing through injury, with Stephen Anderson coming back into the line-up.

Cole Carter put the visitors ahead with a neat wraparound, squeezing the puck in at Dubeau's near post (16:05).

Panthers hit back when Jeremy Welsh got the final touch after a goalmouth scramble just as the first period was coming to a close (19:34).

Manchester retook the lead in the second period as Cam Critchlow scored on the rebound from the right circle (35:51).

Panthers pushed for an equaliser and gambled in the closing stages by lifting Dubeau for the extra skater, but the Storm sealed the points with Ryan Barrow's empty-net goal (59:54).
