ELITE LEAGUE: PANTHERS 1-6 BLAZE
The Nottingham Panthers were beaten 6-1 at home by Coventry Blaze in the Premier Sports Elite League on Saturday night.
Panthers were without Tanner Sorenson and Craig Puffer through injury, but defenceman Mike Caruso returned to the line-up.
Jack Berry was given the start in goal with Alex Dubeau as back-up.
Colton Yellow Horn put the Blaze ahead on the powerplay at 4:31 and the visitors made it 2-0 through Marly Quince (11:15).
Jack Billings netted Coventry's third at 18:29 as the visitors took command at the first intermission.
Mitch Cook scored on the powerplay (25:03) and Quince netted his second of the night at 31:10 as Blaze opened up a five-goal advantage.
Dubeau replaced Berry in the Panthers goal but Coventry scored their sixth - again on the powerplay - at 36:42 through Peyton Frantti.
Panthers got on the board in the third period as Mike Hammond converted a penalty shot (57:35).
