FERRARA: GREAT FEELING WALKING INTO LOCKER ROOM
Forward Luke Ferrara says it was a great feeling walking into The Nottingham Panthers locker room as he arrived in the city this week ahead of the new season.
The 29-year-old joined the Panthers in June after spending the past four years with Coventry Blaze, scoring 96 goals and contributing 96 assists for 192 points in 248 games.
Ferrara, who represented Great Britain at this year's World Championship in Finland, will wear the #19 shirt for the Panthers this season.
"As I said when I signed earlier in the year, I am very excited to be joining the Nottingham Panthers," said Ferrara.
"We have a great roster and some guys I know really well from GB and others I have played with at different clubs.
"It was a great feeling to walk into the locker room this week."
After an official induction day this Sunday, Panthers start their training camp on Monday ahead of pre-season action getting under way next weekend.
"If I am honest, I just can't wait for training camp to start and to get that first action against the Steelers," added Ferrara.
"Next week I am sure will be intense as we get together on the ice for the first time, but I am looking forward to it."
Panthers’ opening home game of pre-season against the old enemy will be for the GM the GM Memorial Trophy and takes place on Saturday 27th August (7pm).
Cardiff Devils are up next in the Aladdin Cup on Saturday 3rd September (7pm), before the Elite League action gets under way in Nottingham with Guildford Flames the visitors on Saturday 10th September (7pm).
