The Nottingham Panthers defenceman Archie Hazeldine and forward Jack Hopkins have been named in the Great Britain U20s squad for the World Championship in December.

The duo are part of GB's 22-player roster for the six-team IIHF Under-20 World Championship Division II Group A in Kaunas

GB will face hosts Lithuania, along with Croatia, Netherlands, Romania and Spain, at the Kaunas Ice Palace from 11th to 17th December.

GB U20s Head Coach, Martin Grubb, said: "Jack is a real talent and young player who has bags of skill, but he has also really learned how to play away from the puck this year with his role on the Panthers roster.

"We know his ability and hope he will be an impact player at the tournament and really show off his talent.

"Archie has really improved with his game time with the Panthers alongside Leeds and has all the attributes to be a really good British d-man.

"He impressed with last year's under-18s and has been good at our camps. He - like Jack - has a great attitude and workrate and we expect he will play a big role for us in Lithuania."
