HAZELDINE MOVES ON FROM THE PANTHERS
British defenceman Joe Hazeldine will depart the Nottingham Panthers after informing the club he has signed a contract with another team.
The 23-year-old joined the Panthers from Fehervar in Hungary in December last year as an injury replacement for Josh Tetlow, who was out of action with a broken arm.
Nottingham Panthers CEO, Omar Pacha, said: "We would like to thank Joe for coming back to Nottingham last season in what was a difficult time.
"We were looking for injury cover and Joe was looking for a way to leave Hungary and to return to Nottingham.
"The club was able to agree a deal with the Manchester Storm - who held his EIHL rights for the 23-24 season - that paved the way for Joe to return to his home town.
"We were extremely hopeful of retaining Joe for the upcoming 24-25 season and beyond - and did everything possible to get a deal signed.
"Unfortunately, Joe decided to go a different direction. We would like to wish Joe all the best and thank him again for his efforts this season."
