HEART LINK SUPPORTING FAMILIES IN THE EAST MIDLANDS

We have been privileged to have our Charity of the Month, Heart Link, in the Motorpoint Arena foyer throughout the month of February.
Heart Link (East Midlands Children's Heart Care Association) was founded in 1981 as a support organisation for parents and families who had a child with a heart condition.
The vital work they do has helped thousands of people all over the region, including the Atri family from Nottingham who are big Panthers supporters, Dad Vikram, Mum Karolina and their two sons Louis and Dillan.
Vikram, a former Nottinghamshire professional cricket player, said: "Our twin boys were born in 2022. Louis was born with a condition called Transposition of the Great Arteries which required open heart surgery at four days old.
"I am glad to say he is progressing well and the work Heart Link do is truly commendable in conjunction with Leicester Royal Infirmary.
"We have lived in Nottingham for a number of years and follow the Panthers keenly.
"Heart Link are a fantastic charity and we are so pleased they were chosen as your Charity of the Month."
All of our Heart Link's officials, committee members and volunteers volunteer their time without compensation or reimbursement.
They have raised well over £6 million since 1981 thanks to the wonderful support and generosity of the general public.
