It was a night of drama at the Motorpoint Arena on Wednesday as Nottingham Panthers beat Belfast Giants 2-0 in the second leg of the Challenge Cup semi-final.

The heroic comeback fell just short from Danny Stewart's side as Panthers bowed out the competition 3-2 on aggregate, which means the Giants will face Cardiff Devils in next month's final.

Zee Garát and Cooper Zech were on target for the Panthers on a night full of passion on Lower Parliament Street.

It's back to league action on Saturday with the visit of Dundee Stars to the Motorpoint Arena (7pm face-off).
