The injury to Nottingham Panthers forward Ollie Betteridge's means he will miss next week's Olympic Qualifiers for Great Britain.

He'll be replaced by Cardiff Devils forward Ben Davies who has won 45 GB caps since making his debut 2013.

Great Britain Head Coach, Peter Russell, said: "It's sad to lose Ollie and I know how disappointed he is that he won't be able to be part of the Olympic Qualifiers.

"But we have great depth in the GB programme and it means we can bring in a quality player in Ben Davies who has performed on the world stage many times."

GB face China, Romania and Serbia from Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th February at the Vindico Arena in Cardiff.

The group winners will progress to Final Qualifying in August 2024 – the final stage of qualifying before the Winter Olympics in Italy.
