MATCH REPORT: DUNDEE 1-2 PANTHERS
A goal by Kelly Summers with under three minutes remaining helped Nottingham Panthers win 2-1 on-the-road at Dundee Stars in the Viaplay Elite League, with the two points securing a spot in the end-of-season playoffs.
Alex Dubeau, who turned away 35 of the 36 shots he faced, started between the pipes with Luca Sheldon as back-up, while Luke Ferrara (day-to-day) and David Levin (precaution) missed out because of injury.
Barriga gives Dundee first-period lead
The Stars when ahead when Philippe Sanche hussled to win the puck behind the net and fed Elijiah Barriga on the doorstep (2:48)
Dubeau had to be sharp to make good saves from Carter Folk and Ben Brown while at the other end, Matthew Myers fired just over from the slot.
Brady equalises on the powerplay for Panthers
JC Brassard's blueline shot was saved and Niko Lahtinen was denied on the rebound as Panthers pushed for an equaliser.
Nottingham piled on the pressure, especially in the second part of period two, and Mike Hammond and Myers combined well to set-up Adam Brady to equalise on the doorstep on the powerplay (38:31).
Late goal from Summers secures points for Panthers
Tanner Sorenson's one-timer smashed against the crossbar and the Panthers forward also went close on the backhand on the powerplay.
Dubeau made good saves to deny Barriga and Sanche in an end-to-end period, with plenty of good chances for both sides.
Panthers won it with under three minutes remaining as Summers scored through traffic from the blueline (57:22).

Coventry at home on Tuesday
