MATCH REPORT: PANTHERS 1-5 STARS

The Nottingham Panthers suffered a heavy home defeat as Dundee Stars skated to a 5-1 victory at the Motorpoint Arena.
Alex Dubeau got the start between the pipes with Luca Sheldon as back-up. Peyton Jones and Mathieu Gagnon were the healthy scratches, while Luke Ferrara missed out through injury.
After having two close-range shots saved inside the first two minutes, Johan Eriksson put the visitors ahead on a doorstep rebound (4:24).
The Stars made it 2-0 when Dubeau was unable to hold Benjamin Sokay's shot and Johan Eriksson poked the puck home on the line (12:37).
Jeremy Welsh and David Levin combined on the powerplay to set-up Tanner Sorenson for a one-timer to close the deficit (19:12), but Dundee scored their third when Hugo Reinhard put away his own rebound after being sent clear by Philippe Sanche (24:14).
The Stars added a fourth in the final minute of the second period as Sokay reacted first to a loose puck in the slot (39:28), before Hugo Reinhardt set-up Sanche at the backdoor to put the seal on Dundee's victory (54:24).
