Logan Neilson set-up Jordan Kelsall who saw his shot saved, before Tyler Welsh stretched to reach a loose puck to score his first league goal of the season with his backhand (9:36).
Stojanovic made two huge saves to deny Peter Crinella and Patrick Bajkov on a Flames powerplay as Panthers went to the intermission with a two-goal advantage.
No goals in second period
Austin Farley hit the base of the left-hand post from close-range, while Stephen Anderson saw his shot saved when he broke through the Flames defence.
Alexander Lunsjö hit the pipes from the right circle and then had a follow-up effort saved by McAdam.

Panthers made a strong start to the third period as Neilson shot wide, before Kelsall and Mathieu Lemay had shots saved by McAdam.
Stojanovic had to be sharp to turn away a shot from Flames defenceman Ben O'Connor.
Neilson and Welsh combined to set-up Kelsall to hammer home Nottingham's third and final goal of the night from the left circle (54:06).
