MATCH REPORT: STORM 2-0 PANTHERS
The Nottingham Panthers were beaten 2-0 on-the-road at Manchester Storm in the Viaplay Elite League.
Peyton Jones made the start between the pipes with Matty Bloor serving as back-up, while Craig Puffer was the healthy scratch.
The Panthers created the best chances in the first period with Mike Caruso going closest when he hit the left-hand post.
Tyson Fawcett's rebound on the powerplay (27:13) saw the hosts lead by a goal at the second intermission.
Panthers pushed hard for an equaliser in the third period with David Levin being denied by Jeremy Broduer, while Albin Lindgren went close twice on the same shift.
Luke Ferrara's clever flick went just wide but Storm wrapped the game up thanks to an empty-net goal from Chase Harrison (59:42).
Panthers return to action tomorrow with Glasgow Clan the visitors to the Motorpoint Arena (4pm face-off).
