MYERS AND HAMMOND STAR IN GB VICTORY

​The Nottingham Panthers forwards Matthew Myers and Mike Hammond were part of the Great Britain team which beat Romania 6-1 at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham on Sunday afternoon.

It secured a clean sweep of victories for Pete Russell's side in the Euro Ice Hockey Challenge following Friday's 3-0 victory over Japan in Milton Keynes and Saturday night's 4-1 win against Poland in Coventry.

Liam Kirk gave GB the lead before Myers and former Panther Robert Lachowicz assisted on Jonathan Phillips' goal in the second period.

Robert Dowd, Sam Ruopp and former Panther Evan Mosey were also on target, while Kirk scored his second of the night to complete the scoring.
