Nottingham Panthers CEO Omar Pacha says Saturday's Adam Johnson Jersey Retirement will be a special occasion.

Panthers host Fife Flyers (7:30pm face-off) with the ceremony getting under way at 6:30pm.

We are honoured to be joined by members of Adam's family and last season's Head Coach Jonathan Paredes.

Pacha said: "It will be an extremely special night and we are very, very grateful the family accepted the invitation and our Head Coach last season, Jonathan Paredes.

"We will have some messages from former players. To honour Adam and retire his jersey in-front of the fans will be a special moment."

This will be a very special occasion as we come together to remember Adam and his contribution not just for ice hockey across the world, but who he was as a person and the positive impact he had on so many people he met.

We advise supporters to allow extra time for their journey on the night as the roads around Nottingham will be busy with Forest hosting Aston Villa (5:30pm kick-off).

The game - which is sponsored by Hands on Health - is another big night for the Panthers following a recent run of 11 points out of a possible 12.
