PANTHERS & EIHL TO HONOUR ADAM JOHNSON THIS WEEKEND

Nottingham Panthers and the whole of the Elite League will remember our #47 Adam Johnson this weekend.

Applause for 47 seconds in tribute will take place ahead of face-off (4pm) against the Storm on Sunday as we honour his memory.

All other Elite League games will also hold 47 seconds of applause as the league pays tribute to a very special person on the anniversary of his sad passing away last year.

We invite supporters to lay flowers underneath the AJ47 plaque on Bolero Square at the Motorpoint Arena and we would also like to actively encourage further fan-led tributes before, during or after games.

Adam, our number 47, was not only an outstanding ice hockey player, but also a great team-mate and an incredible person. The club will never ever forget him.

In September, we were humbled to announce Adam's official jersey retirement ceremony, which will take place on Saturday 14th December against Fife Flyers (7pm face-off).

We will be honoured to be in the presence of members of Adam’s family for the game, with a special ceremony taking place pre-game where we will remember Adam and his jersey will become the seventh to be officially retired by the club.
