🎟 SATURDAY 14TH DECEMBER (7:30PM): PANTHERS v FIFE - BUY TICKETS HERE 🎟

Nottingham Panthers host Fife Flyers in the Elite League this evening as we retire the jersey of Adam Johnson, forever our 47.

Panthers go into the game on the back of last night's superb 4-3 overtime victory on the road at Manchester Storm.

We are honoured and humbled to be joined by members of Adam's family tonight, as well as last season's Head Coach Jonathan Paredes.

The Jersey Retirement Ceremony gets under way at 6:30pm with face-off at the later time of 7:30pm.

Please be in your seats by 6:30pm if you are attending the ceremony. The arena stewards will do their best to get supporters to their seats once the ceremony has started, but there may be a short delay if you turn up late.

As well as the jersey banner unveil, there'll be a couple of speeches, messages from current and former team-mates and a video tribute to Adam.

Mental health charities, Mind and Base 51, will be in the foyer pre-game for anyone who may feel they need someone to talk with.

This will be a very special occasion as we come together to remember Adam and his contribution not just for ice hockey across the world, but who he was as a person and the positive impact he had on so many people he met.

We advise supporters to allow extra time for their journey this evening as the roads around Nottingham will be busy with Forest hosting Aston Villa (5:30pm kick-off).

Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "The people who were here last season will remember all the good things about Adam.

"I didn't have the pleasure of knowing him personally but everyone speaks very, very highly of him.

"My thoughts are still with everyone who had to go through that experience."

On the ice, Fife arrive at the Motorpoint Arena bottom of the table and short of bodies, but Stewart says they should not be underestimated.

"I don't think they will change how they play," continued Stewart. "(Netminder) Shane Owen has the ability to win a game on his own.

"It's another tough test and we are certainly not in a position to take any team lightly. We are going to have to be at our best this weekend."
