PANTHERS LINK-UP WITH DMRC STANFORD HALL
Nottingham Panthers are honoured to announce a community link-up with the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Benevolent Fund at DMRC Stanford Hall.
The Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Benevolent Fund is a volunteer-run charity that provides funding to support holistic, occupational and social integration opportunities for serving military patients at DMRC Stanford Hall that are not provided by public funding.
Brian Dent MBE, Operations Manager for the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Benevolent Fund, said: "Our partnership with the Nottingham Panthers and Motorpoint Arena Nottingham is vital to the wellbeing and recovery of the patients at Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Stanford Hall.
"The visits to the arena to see the Nottingham Panthers in action are a real highlight for our beneficiaries. When working with serving military patients in rehabilitation at DMRC Stanford Hall, we are committed to finding motivating ways to help target their rehabilitation goals.
"Social integration and community access is a big part of that but it has to be graded, safe and supportive. The arena provides this environment, the Panthers games provide the motivation.
"We are delighted to continue this partnership with the Panthers team at the arena and look forward to more fantastic matches on the ice."
Panthers CEO, Omar Pacha, said: "This is a very special charity and one we are honoured to be linking-up with.
"We are proud of our links with local charities and the work DMRC Benevolent Fund does is so vital for serving military patients."
DMRC Benevolent Fund will also be our chosen Charity of the Month for October.
