The Nottingham Panthers are back in home action on Friday with the visit of Elite League leaders Guildford Flames to the Motorpoint Arena (7:30pm).

It's the second meeting of the season between the two sides in Nottingham after Panthers skated to a dramatic 4-3 overtime victory on the opening day of the season.

Back in September, with netminder Alex Dubeau lifted for the extra skater, Andrew Johnston scored the equaliser with 69 seconds remaining before Mike Hammond netted the game-winner 28 seconds into the extra period.

Last time out at the Motorpoint Arena on Saturday, Panthers beat Belfast Giants 5-4 in a thrilling encounter in front a near-capacity crowd.

Adam Brady, David Levin, Jordan Kelsall and Brett Welychka were all on target against the Giants, as was British international Luke Ferrara with his first goal for the Panthers.

The Flames come into the game on the back of a 7-4 victory over Coventry Blaze in the Challenge Cup on Sunday night.
