The Nottingham Panthers will honour the memory of Her Majesty The Queen at tomorrow night's Elite League season-opener with Guildford Flames at the Motorpoint Arena (7pm face-off).

The Panthers and everyone connected with the Elite League were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.

As a mark of respect, the game will be preceded by a two-minute silence followed by the playing of the national anthem.

The players will wear black armbands and there will be other tributes to The Queen on the night.

Floral tributes in memory of The Queen can be left underneath the signed photos of Her Majesty and her late husband, The Duke of Edinburgh. This is in the foyer just next to Ice Locker. The couple were at the arena in 2002 as part of Golden Jubilee celebrations.

Meanwhile, every customer arriving between 5:30pm and 6:30pm tomorrow will receive a free voucher from arena stewards, which can be redeemed for either a Panthers Lager or soft drink to toast and honour Her Majesty The Queen.
