#PANTHERSNATION - MORE IN COMMON GAME
The Nottingham Panthers and The Renewal Trust are celebrating with the More in Common Game today.
We're proud to be hosting The Renewal Trust, Communities Inc and the Jo Cox Foundation, who have been leading the Nottingham More In Common Network and we want you to be part of it!
The Jo Cox Foundation
Jo Cox was a passionate campaigner, activist and humanitarian; a proud Yorkshire lass and internationalist; and a devoted mum, daughter, sister, wife, friend and MP. She was driven by her belief that a fairer, kinder and more tolerant world was possible.
On 16th June 2016, on her way to a constituency surgery to meet with local residents of Batley and Spen, Jo was murdered because of her beliefs. The public reaction to Jo’s murder shows that Jo’s values - compassion, kindness and empathy - are widely shared.
The Nottingham More In Common Network brings together lots of community organisations and members of the community.
Jo said "we are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us" and we want the #PanthersNation to join us in celebrating we have more in common than that which divides us.
Pop to the arena foyer tonight and sign the banner. It would be great to have as many signatures as possible. You may spot some players' signatures too and of course Paws.
Nic Williams, Community Lead at The Renewal Trust, said: “What a great way to end being Charity of the Month with The Nottingham Panthers.
"The Panthers fans are an amazing group that have supported us so much this season. The banner will be a lasting legacy.”
