The Nottingham Panthers players hit the ice for the first time officially yesterday with two practices at the Motorpoint Arena.
It's the start of an intense week for the Panthers with an on-ice session today being followed by off-ice with Strength & Conditioning Coach Pete Edwards.
There's two more on-ice practices tomorrow and next week the Panthers will spend all day Tuesday with the army.
Head Coach, Jonathan Paredes, said: "It was great to get the team on the ice twice today and officially start pre-season.
"We had a really productive Induction Day yesterday where everyone started to get to know each other and the standards the club expects were relayed to the players.
"We will work them hard as we have to be in the best possible shape come the start of the season.
"The foundations are laid in pre-season so it's important we're all on the same page and working towards the same goal.
"It's going to be an intense pre-season camp but I think the squad is ready for it."
Tickets are now on sale for the first four home games of the season, including pre-season matches with Sheffield Steelers and Coventry Blaze, as well as Elite League action against Manchester Storm and the Challenge Cup fixture with Sheffield.
