PREVIEW: HUGE CUP GAME FOR PANTHERS AT CARDIFF

Nottingham Panthers have a huge match in the Challenge Cup this evening with a roadtrip to Wales to face Cardiff Devils (4pm face-off).

A point or better for the Panthers secures a direct spot in the semi-finals, but a regulation-time defeat means a one-off play-in game at home to Glasgow Clan.

Both Panthers and Cardiff go into the game on the back of big victories last night.

Nottingham came from 4-2 down with four third-period goals to beat Guildford Flames 6-4 at the Motorpoint Arena.

Cardiff beat Sheffield Steelers 5-1 to remain four points clear at the top of the Elite League.

Head Coach, Danny Stewart, said: "This is massively important for us and we've put ourselves in a good spot in the cup.

"Cardiff are a good team with talent all over the ice, but we want to go there and book our place in the semi-finals."
