βFormer Great Britain, Coventry Blaze and Sheffield Steelers Head Coach Paul Thompson chats to Panthers TV about forwards Otto Nieminen and Westin Michaud who he coached in Denmark last season.
Nieminen was the league's leading goalscorer on 25 and added 21 assists to finish on 46 points for the second-highest points tally on his team last season.
Michaud joined partway through the campaign and returned 24 points (10+14) in 22 regular-season matches.
Thompson is about to start his third season in charge of the Danish top-flight club.
"Otto is a model professional, the Panthers have got a great guy," said Thompson. "He has great straight-ahead speed.
"He looks after himself, has a body like a middleweight boxer and is a smashing team-mate.
"He knows how to get it done and is around the net at the right time. He has a good little snapshot and elite speed.
"Westin has a good hockey IQ and I played him in the middle as a centre. He's good on the puck and away from the puck.
"He's crafty and can read a play - and he gets involved in the dirty areas just like Otto does.
"Westin also doesn't mind getting under players' skins. I think the Panthers have two good signing in those guys."
Tickets are now on sale for the first four home games of the season, including pre-season matches with Sheffield Steelers and Coventry Blaze, as well as Elite League action against Manchester Storm and the Challenge Cup fixture with Sheffield.
