Nottingham Panthers defenceman Quinn Wichers will be out of action for around four to six weeks.

Wichers picked up an upper body injury in the third period of the 4-2 victory on the road at Sheffield Steelers on Boxing Day.

Panthers Lead Sports Therapist, Laura-Jo Bowler, said: "Quinn was assessed in hospital after the game in Sheffield.

"He will be out of action for around four to six weeks and his fitness will continue to be monitored by the medical and strength and conditioning team."
